Crazy Chemworks
Welcome to the world of chemistry! Children make gooey slime, experiment with different reactions and learn to use the tools that chemists use. Polymers and catalysts are only two of the fascinating concepts young scientists explore in this thrilling trip through the chemistry lab!
STEM Odyssey (System 2)
What makes your hair stand up? Is it a magnet or magic? And just what are carbs, anyway? Kids explore a variety of introductory topics about the wonders of both the life and physical sciences.
Science Surprise (System 4)
Experiments are the best part of being a Mad Scientist! In this program, kids learn about several specialized areas of science, including forensics, geology, kinesiology, meteorology, entomology, and mechanical engineering.
Lab Works
Students will learn basic tools and techniques that scientists use in the laboratory. They will learn to make a hypothesis based on their observations. They will explore different lab equipment in a series of hands-on activities.
Junior Reactors
Identify chemical change clues, recognize physical and chemical reactions, and mix up ingredients for WOW results! Explore physical and chemical reactions with the Dynamic Dish.
pH Phactor
Explore the pH extremes while discovering which household liquids are acids and bases! Build a Reaction Tube.
Slime Time
Ooze into a gooey hour of sliming around! Enter the Slime Olympics! Take home your own concoction of Mad Science Slime!
Chem In a Flash
Perform instantaneous experiments on split-second reactions that go like mad! Pick up an Action Flask and have a blast!!
Glow Show
Discover the amazing properties of light and explore glow-in-the-dark technology. These concepts will be presented through a hands-on exploration of household objects, paper products, and earth minerals.
Super Sticky Stuff
Stick it to the walls, and push the power of tape to the limit. Build a bond with glue and become attached to Professor Beakerdude!
Dry Ice Capades
Children will understand the concept of matter in its three states. Dry ice—the \nstar of the show—used in a series of tests, under the guidance of the \ninstructor, explores the properties of matter at extreme temperatures.
Harnessing Heat
Children learn about the concepts of heat and heat transfer. The instructor uses various tools like a heat gun and thawing blocks \nto demonstrate how we use temperature-sensitive equipment in our everyday lives.
Lights, Color, Action..
Children observe demonstrations that blend colors to produce white light, and others that separate white light into colors. Children build Technicolor Blenders to demonstrate Newton’s color wheel at home.
Magnetic Magic
This class provides the basic physical principles governing magnetism. Children use \ncompasses to gain a better understanding of how humans benefit from the Earth’s magnetic force.
Mission: Nutrition
This class focuses on nutrition and fitness including the essential components of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Optical Illusions
This class uses engaging demonstrations and activities to introduce children to the concepts of refraction, the science of optics, and the \nbiology associated with sight.
Sonic Sounds
Children listen to sounds made with solid \nmaterials—from plastic to metal to string. Engaging sound experiments and live demonstrations show the properties and transmission of sound waves.
Smelly Science
Children are introduced to the sense of taste and smell. Children bring home the Taste Test Kit – a kit they can use to challenge their friends to a blind smell test.
Watts-Up
Children discover an electric charge’s basic \nproperties and the world of static electricity. They will see sparks fly from an electrostatic machine, the Van de Graaff generator.
Bugs!
Children are introduced to the world of entomology. Children see from an insect’s \npoint of view with an interchangeable lens viewer to take home.
Detective Science
Children are introduced to the scientific techniques used to investigate and analyze crime scene evidence. They take home a kit to record their own vital information.
Earthworks
Children dig into Earth science! Earth’s layers are introduced with a spotlight on its outer rocky layer. The children make and take home a sedimentator.
Kitchen Chemistry
Children get clued in on the chemical reactions that occur when they prepare, analyze, and digest their food. The hands-on, clear digestive-track model extends this concept at home!
Mad Machines
Children discover how simple machines make our lives easier. They learn about forces and work. They take home their own Drag racer.
Movie Effects
Exciting demonstrations and hands-on activities allow children to discover the science behind the amazing sound and weather effects from the movies.
Science of Toys
Children test, play, and learn the science of toys through toy-themed centers. Their energy investigation continues at home with the Mad Science Yo-Yo.
Walloping Weather
Children conduct hands-on experiments to understand how and why weather occurs. Children take home the color-changing Sun Beads kit to detect ultraviolet light from the sun.
Atmosphere & Beyond
Children discover the properties of the air around us and explore the atmosphere of Earth, and those of planets beyond. Children assemble the atmospheres of other planets. They build their very own Space Guide to follow the probes exploring our solar system from here on Earth!
Sun & Stars
Investigate the Sun, distant stars, and the galaxies they form. Create your own constellations and take home a Cosmic Disc.
Space Phenomena
Create your own impact craters and observe model meteors. Learn about reflected light in a friendly game of satellite tag and make a working model of the James Webb Space Telescope to take home.
Living in Space
Set out on a mission to investigate life in space! Participate in the construction of a model space station and go home with a Spacewalk Challenge to continue your astronaut training.
Rocket Science
Children are provided with valuable hands-on experience as they build a functional model rocket. They learn about the components of a rocket and the role each plays in a rocket’s flight. A model rocket launch will be part of the Rocket Science class.
Space Travel
Race balloon rockets and devise a balloon-powered rocket car. Build a Propulsion Spinner to take home. Soar to new heights with a model rocket launch!
Space Technology
Help laser light through a maze, use principles of radar technology to find hidden mountains, and launch a satellite into orbit. Take home a Stereoscopic Viewer to explore planet surfaces in 3D!
Planets & Moons
Children use models to understand the relative size and distance of objects in our Solar System. They experiment with eclipses and learn how gravity plays a part in our exploration of outer space. They experiment with a magnet-based gravity assist game to send steel marble probes across their Solar System playing board.
Current Events
Children investigate conductors, insulators, and other elements in the world of circuit electricity. They connect circuits and discover the wonders of technology!
Science of Magic
Children discover the magic of science and learn the science behind some well-known magic tricks! They untangle Houdini's chains and learn how mirrors and optics can make things disappear.
Fundamental Forces
Kids find out about forces by doing experiments on gravity, centripetal force, and inertia. They check out a gyroscope, make cars fly down a track and do a few balancing tricks to discover how forces affect motion.
Fantastic Fliers
Children discover how the four forces of flight help things soar into the sky. They build all kinds of paper aircraft to help them understand in a tangible, hands-on way!
Under Pressure
Kids discover how Bernoulli's principle can keep things in the air and how air pressure can be used to move things.
Super Structures
Kids test out the basics of architectural design and structural engineering in this hands-on class about structures. They explore how triangles, arches, and bridges give strength to structures.
Wacky Water
Children explore the amazing properties of water – density, solvency and surface tension – in this hands-on look at how water works!

Children discover the mysterious wonders of chemical science. They learn the difference between physical and chemical changes through exciting, hands-on experiments.
Fantastic Forces
Examining the world children interact with is an ideal way to explain scientific principles. They will learn all about the science of flight and the forces that are involved. They learn how magicians use our assumptions and perceptions about how the world works to entertain us. Reasoning skills will be tested as they become Junior Engineers, building and testing structures.
