Lights & Optics!

Children are introduced to the concepts of reflection, refraction, and the science of optics. Exciting experiments on white light including color-wheel blending and prism-splitting spectrums introduce Newton’s color theory concepts. They will observe that white light contains all the rainbow colours.

Detective Investigation

Students are introduced to several science techniques used to investigate and analyze crime scene evidence such as fingerprint, handwriting and mystery powder analysis. They practice their memory skills to create a composite! They learn that evidence is important for solving a mystery. They take home a personal profiler kit.

Super Structures

Children will be junior architects and engineers! They will discover the hidden strength of triangles, arches and cylinders. Through engaging experiments, they will discover the best building materials for creating durable and sustainable structures. They will use combinations of shapes to build a super-structure!

Walloping Weather

Children will learn the reason behind season change and what tools are used to measure the weather. They will explore what causes lightning & thunder and the water cycle. They will observe the effect of UV rays and how to protect our skin from UV rays by making a UV key chain and taking it home.

Space Technologies

Through hands-on learning, kids will discover everyday objects originally designed for use in space. They will examine technologies used to gather knowledge about planets and other objects in space. Find out how telescopes and satellites help us see and learn about faraway worlds beyond Earth. Join us to explore, discover, and have fun with space science!

Crazy Concoctions

Children will explore the differences between physical and chemical changes in materials. They will learn about the equipment used for specific purposes in the chemistry lab. Through hands-on activities and safe experiments, they will observe these changes in action. They will transform two liquids into an oozing batch of slime to take home.

Fantastic Fliers

Fly through flight and learn the basics of aerodynamics and discover the four forces that help airplanes fly: lift, weight, thrust, and drag. Make and test various plane designs to see these forces in action! Build your very own flyer to take home and launch into the sky. Let’s experiment, explore, and have fun with the science of flight!

Magnificent Magnets

Explore the fundamental principles of magnetism. Kids will observe the gravity-defying effects of magnets & use compasses to gain a better understanding of how humans benefit from the Earth’s magnetic force. Hands-on experimenting, from swinging compasses, magnetize paper clips to motorized devices, allows them to explore the role of magnetism in our everyday lives.

Earth Rocks!

Children will be introduced to the science of Geology. They will learn about the different layers of the earth and the rock cycle. They will explore the process of rock formation by making their Sedimentary Stacker to take home. They will observe the different types of rocks and minerals that Glow in the presence of UV light.
